In un mondo digitale che diventa sempre più “multicanale” Il WEB rimane il suo centro nevralgico. Le idee nascono prima di tutto li, poi crescono e si sviluppano, maturano, e pian piano contaminano anche gli altri canali e le altre tecnologie.
Il WEB è in fermento, l’onda del WEB 2.0 ha coinvolto ogni angolo del WEB. L’idea è semplice: la fuori c’è una “collective intelligence” che aumenta il valore dei nostri contenuti. Tutto viene condiviso, tutto diventa “contenuto”, un’idea, una foto, un commento.

Da consumatori di contenuti ci siamo trasformati in produttori o, per dirla con un termine più moderno in “prosumer” (producer and consumer).

Anche le tecnologie cambiano e ci aiutano sempre di più a sfruttare il WEB come strumento per realizzare le nostre idee. Il WEB stesso è una tecnologia, anzi è una vera e propria “Piattaforma di sviluppo”; un insieme di servizi, di API, di librerie che ci permettono di creare nuovi servizi e nuove API in un crescendo incontenibile.

Il percorso che dall’idea ci porta alla realizzazione di un nuovo servizio è sempre più breve, perché sul WEB gli strumenti sono efficaci. Concetti come “Software as a service”, “Platform as a Service” e “Cloud Computing” ci consentono di essere “up and running” con la nostra idea in pochissimo tempo.

In an increasingly multi-channelled digital world, the web remains the nerve centre. Ideas are born there. They grow and develop and as they mature they gradually contaminate other channels and technologies.
The WEB is in ferment, the wave of WEB 2.0 has involved every corner of the WEB. The idea is simple: out there is a collective intelligence that increases the value of our contents. Everything is shared; everything becomes "content", an idea, a photo, a comment.

The digital world is in a state of upheaval as the WEB 2.0 wave rolls into every corner of the web. The concept is simple: there is a "collective intelligence" out there which is increasing the value of our content. Everything is shared. Everything is content: ideas, photos, even user comments. We have shifted from consumers of content to producers of content. In modern terms, we have become "prosumers" (producers and consumers).

Technology is also changing and helping us use the web as a tool for implementing our ideas. The web itself has become a technology - a true "Development Platform" with a mix of services, APIs and libraries that allow us to create new services and new APIs in a seemingly never-ending swell of growth.

The path from idea to creation of new service is shrinking because, on the web, the tools are highly effective. Concepts such as "Software as a Service", "Platform as a Service" and "Cloud computing" allow us to be up-and-running in record time.
